Check out the article in the Pensacola News Journal recognizing Mr. Ronald Waters, science teacher at J.H. Workman Middle School in the Escambia County School District (FL). The school is celebrating its 50th year and Mr. Waters was recognized for his 45th year at the school.
The article’s author credits Waters as saying “the important things at Workman have stayed the same – the faculty and staff are like family and it remains a place he enjoys being every day” (Kourkounis). Two former students commented on the article:
Congrats Mr. Waters…You taught me Math in the late 70’s when I attended WMS…You are the topic of conversation when I run into someone around town whh had you “back in the day”…You are a living legend!!!
I m a student at J.H Workman Middle School I m 14,and in the 6th grade I had Mr.Waters.Of course Im in the 8th grade now,but not one time did i not want to go to his classroom! he is a funny ,wise smart Teacher! He is AWSOME!
Celebrate the contributions of a teacher that you know – much like these two former students did with Mr. Waters – and recognize the teacher for making a difference in your life.
