Check out this video from the students, faculty, and staff at James B. Edwards School of Global Leadership in the Charleston County School District (SC).
Wow! The video delivers a “Connect to Purpose” message… simply. Reminds me of a few leadership reminders I’ve heard or read from colleagues in healthcare, education, and law recently:
There are no “just a’s” in the sense of, “I’m just a delivery truck driver,” or “I’m just a telephone receptionist,” or “I’m just a …”
I’ve got to remind myself that my contributions to the team and company are valuable; I am a leader without the title, and without my face and name on the billboard.
I don’t really care about what my title is, it’s about always doing what’s right for the organization, the people who I work with, and those we serve.
Messages similar to those that students at James B. Edwards elementary are learning and practicing daily in the School of Global Leadership.
Video from a post on the school’s Facebook page; accessed 3/20/2014 here. It’s In Our Hands picture is screen shot from school’s website; school logo and website URL superimposed.
