It’s Teacher Appreciation Week and today we celebrate hero teacher Ms. Sarah Mason at Blue Angels Elementary School in the Escambia County School District (FL). Ms. Mason was nominated by her principal to be named Studer Education’s “Hero Teacher” – this is what Principal Montgomery shared with us:

This is what the Studer Education selection team said, “Ms. Mason is very involved in professional development, grant writing, and STEM. She goes above and beyond engaging students in interactive sciences. Fifty-two percent of her students scored a level 5 in science on the FCAT. Her students build multi-functional robots which is not only an amazing learning opportunity, but it is hands-on and fun-bringing application to life. Ms. Mason is not only challenging students to ready for the future through hands-on STEM projects, but she also leads professional development for her colleagues and seeks added funding for student learning.”

Thank you, Ms. Mason, for teaching us that great educators – Hero Educators – work tirelessly to help students learn, grow, and achieve… and never give up. Thank you for connecting with students—engaging them in STEM content, building their excitement about learning the content, challenging and supporting them, and celebrating their successes! We at Studer Education appreciate the opportunity to celebrate your commitment to students and colleagues at Blue Angels Elementary School and across the school district as a Hero Teacher!

Nomination for Ms. Sarah Mason submitted by Karen Montgomery, proud Principal of Blue Angels Elementary School.
