Troops to Teachers helps active duty, career-seeking veterans, and retired military transition into teaching. This is the Troops to Teachers Creed shared with TeacherReady by Joe Morgan, Regional Director of Mountain Pacific Troops to Teacher:
“Recognizing my chosen profession as a teacher, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige and honor bestowed upon me.
I accept the challenge to create a learning environment conducive to optimum achievement and academic excellence.
I honor every student as unique individuals with the potential to reach their goals and purpose in life.
As troops – now teachers, we change the world one student at a time. We demonstrate the values of honesty, respect, and citizenship.
Proud to serve again!”

TeacherReady’s connection purpose is its commitment to Service men and women, their families, and the education programs and centers of the military. This connection to purpose impacts schools and students; over 200 active duty, reserve, and retired military personnel are currently enrolled in TeacherReady or have earned their professional teaching certificate through TeacherReady. TeacherReady works with Troops to Teachers and Veterans Affairs; in addition, we work with MyCCA and the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, all of which provide their own teaching assistance for individuals affiliated with their branch of service and who are enrolled in TeacherReady. We salute the work of our military men and women and their family members, and appreciate the opportunity to offer them and others interested in a career transition to the teaching profession a quality, state approved, and nationally accredited teacher certification program to get there.
